Last night we went to a food and wine festival in Centennial Park, it was filled with about 200 stalls that gave away tasters of their food and wine!! All the posh restaurants were there (they didn't give away tasters of their food you had to buy it). The free stuff was things like Jam, Olives and Bread so you couldn't really make a meal out of that, believe me we tried!!!
We had the poshest mini burger a posh Truffle Risotto Ball and a cocktail called a Ping Pong and , being the polite people we are,had a number of glasses of wine (in the smallest glasses you have ever seen).
We thought it was going to be sophisticated and posh, it was!! We should have gathered it was posh when 2 mini burgers and 2 risotto balls cost us just Short of 35 quid..... so after I stopped doing CPR on Simon and picked him up of the floor we had a glass of wine!!!! To say they were tiny glasses was an understatement, they were a little bigger than an egg cup and cost 8 quid each, luckily we went with some mates that had been before and they had smuggled a couple of bottles of wine , they assured us that they were stuffed somewhere that couldn't be seen ... we didn't ask!!!!
Simon and I managed to sneak into a wine tasting tent where we got 6 glasses of wine for free.... RESULT!!!
So the festival ended at 9pm but we carried on the party at a pub on the corner till the wee hours of the morning. As the food at the festival was so small and we were starving we headed to Hungry Jacks (Burger King) on the way home for a Triple Whopper (extra cheese, extra relish, extra burger and extra chips)....
When we got home Simon proceeded to fall asleep and woke up on the sofa at 3am this morning!!!
